PARKFIELD RODEO:

The World's Largest Ranch Rodeo
The 20th Annual Parkfield Rodeo will be held May 26 – 27, 2012 in the beautiful rural community of Parkfield, California. It has been earmarked as "Earthquake Capital of the World". Cowboys and cowgirls come from all different areas in the West, and will participate in Bronc riding, team roping, team penning, barrel racing and team branding, to name just a few of the events. There will be professional cowboys and cowgirls, ranch cowboys, weekend cowboys and people just wanting to participate in an action packed weekend. Rodeo performances are 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets may be purchased at the gate, they will be sold by the Parkfield 4-H club. The ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 to 10. There will be vendors selling various items from jewelry to western art.

If you aren't a rodeo contestant, and would like to enjoy the festivities, we have plenty of camping available. The cost is $10/night. First come first serve. There will also be food served on the grounds which will consist of BBQ hamburgers, tri-tip sandwiches and hotdogs, if you would like to sit down and relax. The Parkfield Café is just across the street and they serve a delicious steak. Also Saturday night there is the rodeo dance with Monte Mills and his Lucky Horseshoe band, it is located at the V6 Ranch Grill also.
