Here on the V6 we run a range of rides, from full days in the saddle gathering cattle and sleeping under the stars, to relaxing rides followed by a massage and a glass of wine, and everything in between.

Cattle Drives

Three days in the saddle moving cattle across 20,000 acres, sleeping under the stars at night.

  • Best for: Riders who want long days in the saddle, moving cattle across the V6 Ranch

  • Length: Four day trip, three days in the saddle

  • Riding intensity: Long days in the saddle over challenging terrain

  • Activities: Gathering cattle, campfire music, and sorting on the final day

  • Accommodation: Tent camping or sleeping under the stars; three glamping tents available

 
 

Cowboy Academies

Five days to learn real ranch skills like roping, sorting, and handling cattle.

  • Best for: Riders who want to learn a range of ranch skills, from roping to sorting

  • Length: Five day trip

  • Riding intensity: Flexible schedule, up to six hours in the saddle each day

  • Activities: Gathering, sorting, roping, trail riding, and ranch games, ending in a belt buckle competition

  • Accommodation: Choice of tent camping, RV camping, the V6 Bunkhouse, V6 Glamping Tents, or Parkfield Lodge

A few 2026 spots remain for guests bringing their own horse!

 
 

Rodeo Academy

Same five-day format as Cowboy Academy, with extra focus on roping, sorting, and ranch rodeo skills.

  • Best for: Riders who want to go deep on arena work and ranch rodeo skills

  • Length: Five day trip

  • Riding intensity: Flexible schedule, up to six hours in the saddle each day

  • Activities: Sorting, roping, and ranch games with a strong focus on arena-based skills, ending in a belt buckle competition

  • Accommodation: Choice of tent camping, RV camping, the V6 Bunkhouse, glamping tents, or Parkfield Lodge

Dude Ranch Getaways

Ranch life made easy: real ranch life by day, afternoons for massage, local wine, live music, and small town R&R.

  • Best for: Riders looking for a relaxing, all-inclusive ranch vacation

  • Length: Four day trip, three days in the saddle

  • Riding intensity: Around 3–4 hours of trail riding each day

  • Activities: Trail riding, massages, local wine and beer, live music, and plenty of R&R

  • Accommodation: Parkfield Lodge room included

 
 

Cowboy Experience

A four-day introduction to ranch life: cattle work, trail riding, and exploring the V6 Ranch by horseback.

  • Best for: Riders who want a well-rounded introduction to ranch life, with cattle work, trail riding, and time to explore the V6

  • Length: Four day trip

  • Riding intensity: Flexible schedule, up to six hours in the saddle each day

  • Activities: Gathering cattle, sorting, and trail riding

  • Accommodation: Choice of tent camping, RV camping, the V6 Bunkhouse, glamping tents, or Parkfield Lodge

 
 

Wrangler Ride

Five days on the V6 during peak spring, trail riding, gathering cattle, and sorting.

  • Best for: Riders who want a mix of trail riding and cattle work during the peak of spring on the V6

  • Length: Five day trip

  • Riding intensity: Flexible schedule, can ride for up to 6 hours each day

  • Activities: Trail riding, with gathering and sorting mixed in

  • Accommodation: Choice of tent camping, RV camping, the V6 Bunkhouse, glamping tents, or Parkfield Lodge
