V6 Pack Trip

October 3-6, 2024

Take an epic adventure exploring the 20,000 acre V6 Ranch

Spend four days days exploring the spectacular landscapes of the V6 Ranch

What to expect

On the first day guests will meet at the V6 Blue Oak Camp where they will be paired with their horse for the duration of the ride. From there we will explore the low country of the V6 Ranch before arriving at Pine Canyon Lake where we will set up camp for the night. That evening guests will have free time to take a dip in the lake, explore the lake in kayaks, go fishing, and enjoy drinks and food from the V6 Chuckwagon.

Day two we will climb up into the Diablo Mountain Range climbing around 2,000 feet in elevation before dropping down into Mine Flat where we will set up camp for the night. There we will enjoy dinner from a chuckwagon that traveled over the Oregon Trail.

On the third day we will continue to climb up to Mustang Camp, exploring the dramatic landscapes and expansive vistas of the high country. We will spend the final night in Mustang Camp before traveling back down the mountain on the final day.

Accomodation

Bring a tent or sleep out under the stars! Guests provide their own camping gear, which will be transported for you to each camp.

Nights one and two guests will have access to bathrooms and running water. Night three guests will have access to bathrooms, running water, and hot showers.

There is no electricity, no wifi, and very limited cell phone service available at each camp. The perfect setting to unplug and relax.

Food

Nothing compliments a long day in the saddle like a great meal. Breakfast and dinner will be cooked by the V6 Ranch crew over an open oak flame on the V6 Chuckwagon. Lunch will be packed on pack horses to enjoy out on the trail.

Enjoy meals like rib-eye steak and charred squash cooked over an open oak flame topped with chimichurri, fire roasted potatoes with wild black sage and garlic, and dutch oven peach cobbler served from a 150+ year old chuckwagon.

“V6 Ranch is a little slice of heaven. The best place to be to leave your busy world behind. You will not find nicer folks, better food, sweeter horses, or a more beautiful place to renew your soul!

Been coming for 10 years now & look forward to it every time!!!”
